AlNiCo magnetic material is an alloy of Aluminum-Nickel-Cobalt. It possesses an excellent temperature stability and high residual induction, and relatively high energies characterize. AlNiCo magnets have a low Coercive Force that limits their applications in many cases. The corrosion resistance of AlNiCo is excellent, and no surface treatments are required. However, AlNiCo magnets are easily plated for cosmetic reasons if required.
Edgetech Industries, Magnetics Division provides AlNiCo magnets with following grades and products:
Two types of AlNiCo Magnets are available, cast and sintered.
Cast AlNiCo magnets may be manufactured in complex shapes, such as horseshoes, not possible with other magnet materials.
Sintered AlNiCo Magnets offer slightly lower magnetic properties but better mechanical characteristics than cast AlNiCo Magnets. AlNiCo Magnet is hard and brittle, machining or drilling cannot be processed by ordinary methods. Holes are usually cored in at the foundry, and magnets are cast close to final size and then finish machined to closer tolerances.
